I was hanging out dreaming one day when this platform came to mind. That was in 1998. V-Cities, the engine under the hood of PeepMyPage, started out as photo and description galleries assembled using its CMS design and CGI/Perl server-side administration for back-web user control. It evolved into a multiple sub-account system early in 1999, by error. Then came MySpace. Kind Ride Share, which was the latest version of the V-Cities product line, was well established back then. What I found at MySpace was similar V-Cities in that it had online user managed profiles, but what was drastically different on the front end was the MySpace allowed users to customize the style of their page. Another major distinction that MySpace did not offer was that V-Cities offered privacy through multiple personality tabs and viewer management where MySpace did not. I chose to start competing with MySpace in 2005. In 2007, V-Cities blew up. That is when I made a life changing decision that required I shut it down. Welcome to its ultimate return in 2026.
