*COVERS FOR BROTHERS - A Worldwide Project for Those in Need* I want to start a project called *Covers For Brothers.* *What does it mean?* *BROTHERS* means all of us - brothers, sisters, and children. *COVERS* means anything that covers the body to keep you warm, dry, and safe. I'm asking people in every community, neighborhood, city, and town - across the United States and around the world - to come together and collect COVERS for our unhoused and unhomed neighbors. We are collecting: Blankets aka Covers, Socks aka Covers, Coats aka Covers, Hats aka Covers, Gloves aka Covers - anything that covers any part of the body. Sweatshirts, sweatpants, t-shirts, jeans, shoes, face masks - anything to help keep someone warm and dry. Let's start collecting in January (but

Materials: *MATERIALS NEEDED / PROVIDED - For Light Travelers:* *COVERS - Clothing (New or Clean Used):* - Socks - wool and regular, all sizes - Blankets - fleece, wool - Coats, jackets, rain jackets - Hoodies, sweatshirts, sweatpants - T-shirts, long-sleeve shirts - Jeans, work pants, leggings - Hats, beanies, scarves, gloves, mittens - Underwear - new - Shoes, boots, shower shoes / flip-flops - Rain ponchos *Food - Non-Perishable, No-Cook, Lightweight:* - Peanut butter packets, tuna/chicken pouches - Jerky, nuts, trail mix - Granola bars, protein bars - Crackers, tortillas - Dried fruit, applesauce pouches - Instant oatmeal, instant coffee, electrolyte powder *Wiping / Bathroom:* - Toilet paper - Baby wipes / adult body wipes *Hygiene:* - Toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash - Deodorant, bar soap, hand sanitizer - Feminine wipes, pads, tampons - Disposable razors, small shave cream *Survival Equipment - Small Enough for a Backpack:* - Tents, tarps, sleeping bags, sleeping pads - Hot Hands hand & foot warmers - Flashlights, headlamps, lanterns + batteries - Stainless steel pot, pan, cup, plate, utensils - Small backpacking stove - propane or wood - Coleman 2-burner stove for base camps - Lighters, fire starters, water filter, water bottles - Backpacks, dry bags, coolers, 5-gallon buckets with lids - Multi-tool, pocket knife, duct tape, paracord, trash bags.
